The Light in the Shadow is an electronic/space ambient evolutionary sound environment that is dense and organic in texture, and otherworldly in experience. Craig Padilla makes gorgeous electronic music that pairs dramatic sheets of monochromatic keyboards with gentle but momentum-creating percussion. Its lack of jarring dynamics makes it perfect for relaxation and meditation, but it is challenging enough to listen to in the foreground.
